aUTHOR. SPEAKER. CAMPAIGNER. MUM

Thanks for taking the time to stop by.

I am an author, adventurer and mum.  A hippy at heart, with a love for travel, health and wellbeing. I am a firm believer that connecting with people and the great outdoors is good for the soul. I seek to tell stories with heart.

Over the last decade, I've been lucky enough to cycle halfway around the world, reported on deforestation in Brazil and Peru, joined the Royal Marines on expedition in Norway and completed a world-first paddle through the Amazon Jungle.

On one of my adventures I got a bit too up-close-and-personal with a sandfly and found a flesh-eating parasite munching through my neck as a result. I was told if I didn't have an aggressive form of chemo there was a risk it might eat my face. Joyous. After contracting leishmaniasis, I now campaign to raise awareness of neglected tropical diseases.
After becoming a mum I am now plotting numerous family adventures to inspire others that parenting does not mean the end of adventuring. I am also working on my first book for children.

I eat bugs and tell stories - not necessarily in that order.

My INTERESTS

Travel, fitness and the great outdoors – key ingredients to put a smile on my face. I think being outside and connecting with people is good for the soul.  Fun facts, I'm also a trained swimming teacher and meditation instructor (not simultaneously). Ommm....
